The Joy of the Lord filled my heart when the Lord announced to my hearing the theme above for this glorious year. In the few years I have spent in this world and ministry, I have heard people make several promises without fulfilling them but not so for our God. He brings to past what He has declared and the book of Numbers 23:19 is the living proof.
“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”
In Deut 1:8 we read: “See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land the LORD swore he would give to your fathers to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and to their descendants after them.”
In the scripture above, Moses began to remind the children of Israel on the side of Jordan, in the land of Moab, God’s words which He spoke to them at Horeb, saying you have dwelt long enough in this mount: turn you and take your journey to possess the land I have promised your descendant. His predecessor Joshua also declared in Joshua 18:3: So Joshua said to the Israelites: “How long will you wait before you begin to take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your ancestors, has given you.”
Now take note, the Lord was speaking on both occasions only to the descendant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the possessors of those possessions. If you are part of God’s family (Born Again Christian) then you are also joint heirs of these possessions that He has promised you and your household. I love the validation in Galatians 4:7 “Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”
The divine possessions in Christ you will enjoy in 2015 and beyond are Salvation, Deliverance, Prosperity, Joy, Healing, Peace, Promotion, etc. Many today lack these blessings not because God has not given them but for the lack of ignorance. This has become one of the most deadliest diseases among believers. Hosea 4:6 succinctly hints at this fact:
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”
The children of Israel from the account of Deuteronomy chapter one had just eleven days to reach the promise land to possess it, but they wandered around for forty years with many lives wasted. This is always a bitter pill to chew anytime I read this passage, and observed that the cause of their misfortune is their not adhering to God’s commandments or ordinances. If you had experienced any setback in 2014, as long as you seek the wisdom of God you will surely come back in 2015 and divinely possess your possessions.
Make radical commitments in 2015 to put away foolish things, flee from sinful habits, live holy, seek the knowledge of God wholeheartedly and take what rightly belongs to you. Prayerfully take your place on the mountain of prayer as Obadiah 1:17 counsels us to do:
“But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.”
I love the way the Psalmist expressed those candidates that will divinely possess the land and those that will be cut off in Psalms 37 verse 9-11.
“Those who trust in the Lord will possess the land, but the wicked will be driven out. Soon the wicked will disappear; you may look for them, but you won’t find them; but the humble will possess the land and enjoy prosperity and peace.”
This is a prophetic word to the wise, and I can say by the special grace of God that 2015 will be a memorable, peaceful and a prosperous year for those who will trust God with their whole life and humble themselves before Him. Finally when you trust, you will be as mount Zion that cannot be moved but abide forever (Ps125:1) and He will give you grace to finish 2015 successfully (Jas 4:6). Amen
God bless you and welcome to Glory House.
